The Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) Theory

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 by several corporate executives, successful entrepreneurs, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus area. Their latest programme, TiE Institute, is a sort of university.

Every year, the program holds a national contest for young entrepreneurs from every TiE center of America. The pupils compete against one another before judges for the prize to invest into their business ventures and take their business plans. Instead of having students simply collaborate in class to develop their business plans for the end of year contest, the plan demands a lot a lot more than that.
